PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the liquid crystal display device which can prevent a short circuit and variance in capacity and also prevent a decrease in OFF current characteristics even when a large-quantity light source is used. SOLUTION: A capacitor electrode 16a is formed at the same time with a drain bus line 16. This capacitor electrode 16a is connected electrically to the connection point between TFTs 21a and 21b through a contact hole 15b. After an inter-layer insulating film is formed over the entire surface, a black matrix 18 is formed of a light shielding metal film of Ti, etc., on the inter-layer insulating film so that the channel parts of the TFTs 21a and 21b and their interconnection point and the capacitor electrode 16a are covered with the black matrix 18. A capacitor is composed of the capacitor electrode 16a, the inter-layer insulating film on it, and the black matrix 18. |
