<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively reduce a power consumption by selectively controlling a first display means when main information is required and a second display means of a low power consumption for auxiliary information only. SOLUTION: A display to be used for display can be selected by operating a display switching key. When a key operation does not continue for a predetermined specific amount of time T1 while a main display 31 is used for display, the main display 31 is turned off, switching to the display by a sub display 32. Further, in the case of the display by the sub display 32, when the key operation dots not continue for a predetermined specific amount of time T2 , the sub display 32 is turned off for turning off the system power supply of the navigator, thus automatically shifting to a mode with less power consumption based on the key operation state, finally turning off the system power supply of the device, and preventing a battery from being wasted.</p> |
