PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a preventive therapeutic agent for functional lesion in paunches of ruminant domestic animals and to provide the preventive therapeutic method. SOLUTION: This preventive agent for domestic animal and the therapeutic agent contain one or more than two kinds of compounds selected from polyphenol compounds consisting of (+)-catechin, (+)-gallocatechin, (-)- gallocatechin gallate, (-)-epicatechin, (-)-epigallocatechin and (-)- epigallocatechin gallate as active ingredients. |
