<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electric charge imparting material contg. a copolymer contg. specified repeating units in at least part of the surface and having the optimum resistance and electrostatic charge characteristics so as to ensure high developing ability. SOLUTION: This electric charge imparting material contains a copolymer contg. repeating units represented by formula I and 5-50wt.% repeating units represented by formula II in at least part of the surface. In the formula I, each of R<1> -R<4> is H, 1-30C straight chain or branched alkyl, alkenyl, aryl or arylalkyl, each of the aryl and arylalkyl may be substd. by 1-30C alkyl, 1-30C alkoxy, OH or halogen such as F or Cl on the arom. ring and X<-> is an org. or inorg. anion.</p> |
