PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply, electric discharge lamp lighting device and lighting fixture, each of which has only a small distortion in input current from an AC power supply and has a simple circuit configuration and has a high cost performance. SOLUTION: A power supply is constituted of an AC power supply AC, a rectifier circuit REC, a high frequency superposing circuit Z, a high frequency bypass capacitor C4, a filter circuit S, a one-transistor inverter circuit INV, and a load circuit LD. By allowing high frequency voltage to appear in the high frequency superposing circuit Z and superposing the output on the output voltage of the rectifier circuit REC, a diode of a diode bridge constituting the rectifier circuit REC is turned on/off at high frequencies and into current from the power supply AC can be allowed to flow over the entire phase of the AC power supply AC and thereby an input current distortion can be reduced. Furthermore, the filter circuit S is inserted in a stage after the rectifier circuit REC and thereby rush current at the time of power-on can be reduced. And, since the one-transistor inverter circuit INV with only one switching device Q1 is used, a circuit configuration can be made simple. |
