PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the attainment to an optimally matched state in an impedance converter by controlling a relation (element sensitivity) between the variation of a controlled variable and the variation of impedance, so as to linearize. SOLUTION: This impedance conversion element 11 of a distribution constant line type is connected between a signal conductor 10a and a ground conductor 10b constituting a main line 10, and its impedance varies by an impedance- varying means 12. At the time of setting an inputting parameter for varying the impedance to be (x), the physical length of the element 11 is set to be L and desired impedance is set to Z, the relation between the physical length L and the inputting parameter (x) is nonlinear. In addition, impedance Z is also in a nonlinear relation with the physical length L. Then impedance Z is set to be linear with an inputting parameter (x). As the result of this, the inputting parameter (x) and the characteristic of the impedance (z) of an impedance matching element become linear. |
