PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make this device suitable for voice recognition and character recognition by displaying concurrence relation with previously appearing words or phrases while providing the strong constraint of a context free grammar, and preparing a language model for easily calculating the probability of a partial sentence. SOLUTION: An input word string holding part 101 stores an inputted input word string. A stack holding part 102 holds more than one stack. A purser control part 103 retrieves a rewriting rule matched with the content of the stack by a rewriting rule storing part 105, operates a reduce operation by using this, and changes the content of the stack. Then, a partial word string constituted of (k-1) pieces of words is inputted, and probability that a purser reaches a certain state is held. When the purser reaches a certain state, the next input word is shifted, and transition probability that it reaches another certain state is calculated. The probability and the transition probability are combined so that probability that the first (k) pieces of words appear can be calculated. |
