<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To erase a memory effect of a battery while shortening a refresh time and thereby saving power by including, in the control of two secondary batteries installed in an information processing system, a process wherein one of the secondary batteries is charged by the other secondary battery and the other secondary battery is discharged. SOLUTION: In a personal computer as an information processing system, a power supply controlling section 21 controls a charging of a first and a second battery pack 9, 10 through a charge controlling section 23. In the control of the charging, a charge controlling process is included wherein the second battery pack 10 is charged (transfer of power) by the first battery pack 9 and thereby the second battery pack 10 is fully charged and the first battery pack 9 is fully discharged. By this method, a refresh time can be shortened and power can be saved in a charging and discharging process.</p> |
