The invention pertains to ball-shaped transparent polyester particles of an average size < 50 .mu.m, having a monomodal granulometric distribution per article (d90-d10/d50) < 2,5. At temperatures < 200 ~C, these particles can be molten to form a continuous coating. The invention also relates to the process of production of same and their use as powder lacquers. In the preferred embodiment, the particles contain units of formulae (1): -CO-X-CO and (2): -O-D-O-, in which X represents a substituted or non-substituted aromatic C6 to C14 or an alkylene-polymethylene-cycloalkane-dimethylene-cycloalkane group or an alkandiyle group in a straight or branched chain, possibly unsaturated, and D represents an alkylene, polymethylene, cycloalkane, dimethylene-cycloalkane or an alkandiyle group in a straight or branched chain, possibly unsaturated. |
