PURPOSE:To let a photographer perform photographing just as he intends by making it possible to drive a stroboscope only when the brightness of an object is higher than a specified value and the viewing angle of a mounted photographing lens can be covered with the irradiation angle of the stroboscope. CONSTITUTION:The stroboscope provided with a light emission part 12 which can be moved between a housing position and a light emitting position, photometric means 21 and 22 which measure the brightness of the object and calculate exposure factor, lens information input means 23 and 20 which inputs the lens information such as the kind of a photographing lens and the focal distance, etc., from the mounted photographing lens, and a lens judgement means 20 which judges the propriety of the characteristic of the photographing lens and that of the stroboscope based on the inputted lens information are provided. When the lens judgement means 20 judges that the lens is proper and the exposure factor exists in an area where the stroboscope is used, the light emission part 12 of the stroboscope is moved to the light emitting position and made to emit light, then it is moved to the housing position. Otherwise, the light emission part 12 is controlled to be held at the housing position. Thus, the photographer can take a photograph just as he intends. |
