The invention relates to a method for sealing construction and settlement joints in concrete buildings. The sealing takes place with the aid of a profile section (16, 18), having the form of joint-tape or injection hose, and made of elastomer material whose surface can swell at least partially upon water absorption. The profile section (16, 18) is stuck onto a solid, optionally uneven joint-defining surface (34) by means of an adhesive (32), and is covered after hardening with fresh concrete, forming a second joint-defining surface (36). In order to achieve reliable joint sealing as simply as possible, the invention proposes sticking the profile section with a non-swellable surface part onto the solid joint-defining surface (34) by means of an adhesive section (32) that is swellable on absorption of water. |
