PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of the positioning work of the car of a hydraulic elevator to a hall in floor height by preventing oil pressure relief in the elevator. SOLUTION: A hydraulic elevator involves a valve 22 adapted to be opened or closed by a controller 20 in a feed passage of pressure oil led to a hydraulic cylinder 2. When a predetermined period lapses after the stop of a car 1 at a specific landing position, the controller 20 operates to detect a dislocation of the car 1 to a hall 17 in floor height. If the detected floor dislocation exceeds a predetermined level, the controller 20 opens the valve 22 to correct the dislocation, while if the dislocation falls below the predetermined level, the controller 20 closes the valve 22. That control prevents pressure relief in the cylinder 2 to thereby lessen the settlement of the car 1 to the hall 17 and eliminate the unfavorable possibility of a user's overturn or being uncomfortable because of the step between the car 1 and the hall 17. |
