PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new gene comprising a human Rho-related protein HP1 gene containing a base sequence coding a specific amino acid sequence and useful for elucidation of morbid state of genepathy, cancer, etc., in which the gene participates and diagnosis, treatment, etc., thereof. SOLUTION: This new human Rho-related protein HP1 gene comprises a base sequence coding an amino acid sequence represented by the formula and is useful for detection of expression of the gene in various tissues, analysis of the structure and function, genetically-engineered production of a human Rho-related protein, elucidation of morbid state of genepathy, cancer, etc., in which the gene participates and diagnosis, treatment, etc., thereof. The gene is obtained by synthesizing cDNA from mRNA extracted from human placenta, assembling cDNA library by using the cDNA and then, cloning cDNA according to a cycle sequence method obtained by adding PCR method to dideoxy terminator method by using a synthetic oligomer nucleotide primer comprising a part of the Rho-related protein HP1 gene. |
