The cover (4) is pivotable about an axis between open and closed positions to actuate an electrical switch (1) in a direction aligned with the pivot axis. The cover is connected to the switch by a link (7) jointed for movements in two or more planes. The link is attached to the cover by a fixing element (15) with screws (14). The axis is immobilised in a bore close to one edge of the fixing element, and in the assembled position is more or less parallel to the actuating shaft (5).
