PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the steering support device capable of producing rotational moment to a steering shaft when a vehicle has a head-on collision with a simple structure, when the rotational moment forces the steering wheel to be displaced to the direction parting from a driver. SOLUTION: This device is so constituted that the installation of the dust cover 21 of a dash-board 3 which penetrates the front part of a steering shaft 13 so as to support it, in such a way that the dust cover separates therefrom when impact force equal to or more than a specified value is applied from the front part end of the steering shaft 13, allows rotational moment to be produced when a vehicle has a head-on collision, which permits the dust cover 21 to be separated, thereby permits the front part end of the steering shaft 13 to be displaced to the rear part of a car body, and also forces the steering wheel 12 to leave for the front side of the car body with respect to the steering shaft 13. |
