PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent ink from being wasted, by forming a butting part of an elastic body, butting the butting part to a nozzle formed in a head, and preventing ink injected into the nozzle from being dried with the use of a seal member which can tightly seal the nozzle. SOLUTION: A seal member is formed of an elastic body of rubber or the like, having projections 102 formed on a base 100 to tightly close nozzles. A head 2 has a plurality of nozzles 110, 112, 114 arranged in a vertical direction to a paper face to discharge a plurality of colors of ink. The inks are injected in corresponding nozzles. The projections 102 tightly adhere to a wall face of the head in the vicinity of the nozzles thereby maintaining the sealing. The projections 102 form a sealed space without touching the nozzles, so that the ink in the sealed space hardly evaporates. Discharging of the ink is ensured for a long term. Moreover, since the seal member seals with the small sealed space, the seal member can be formed in one body with a wiper and a cap. |
