<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink for a black matrix layer having a controlled thickness, excellent light shielding properties and excellent electrical properties and used for a liquid crystal color filter by combinedly using carbon black having a specified or larger amount of volatiles and a perylene black pigment. SOLUTION: This ink contains carbon black having a volatile content of 5% or above and a perylene black pigment and forms a matrix layer having an optical density of 2.3 or above and a volume resistivity of 1×10<6>Ω.cm or above. It is desirable that the ink contains 15-30 pts.wt. resin, 15-30 pts.wt. carbon black and 50-150 pts.wt. perylene pigment. The perylene black pigment is exemplified by C.I. Pigment Black 32. It is desirable that the primary particle diameters of the carbon black and the perylene black pigment are in the range of 15-30nm, respectively. The resin used in the ink is selected among ones having excellent printability and being capable of resisting to heating (250>=C×1hr).</p> |
