Method of adapting safety helmet for individual wearer

The method involves using a device for measuring the shape of the head of the wearer. It also involves using a device for processing and correcting the data obtained. A further device is used for individual adaptation of a helmet or foam lining. Parts of the helmet can also be individually processed. Preferably, the device for measuring the shape of the helmet uses a laser for determining distance data using triangulation. Alternatively the device may use a coded light system and image processing system, or a mechanical system for determining the distance data.
