A magneto-optical disk recording/reproducing apparatus which is provided with an optical head (36) for detecting wobbles (4, 6) and address marks (81 to 84) on a magneto-optical disk (31) and outputting wobble signals (WB1, WB2) and address mark signals (AML, AMG); a PLL circuit (47) for generating a clock signal (CK) in response to the wobble signal (WB1); an address mark synchronizing signal generating circuit (46) for generating an address mark synchronizing signal (AM) in response to the address marks (AML, AMG); a synchronizing circuit (48) for generating a synchronized clock signal (SCK) by synchronizing the clock signal with the address mark synchronizing signal (AM); and a timing setting circuit (49) for generating a timing pulse signal (TG1) for controlling a magnetic head drive circuit (34) and a timing pulse signal (TG2) for controlling a laser drive circuit (35). Since this recording/reproducing circuit is capable of detecting address marks (81 to 84), recording data signals on the magneto-optical disk (31) in synchronism with the detected address marks and reproducing data signals from the magneto-optical disk (31) in synchronism with the detected address marks, the recording/reproducing of the data signals are reliable.
