The engine management method uses sampled values obtained at a given time spacings and then corrected to ensure that the drop in the corrected values is limited to a given value within a defined time interval. The latter given value may be determined from the corrected measured parameter value at the beginning of the given time interval. The increase in the corrected measured parameter values within a given time interval may be limited in the same way.
