This new unit mounts a ski binding (8, 9) on the ski (1) and is novel in its fixing section (10.1-10.2) and lifting plate (11). The fixing section is fastened to the ski and is coupled to the lifting plate by a transmission section. This permits dynamic variation caused by the curvature of the ski in use, accommodating e.g. shortening of the upper surface caused by bending. Materials of construction preferably include e.g. rubber, polytetrafluoroethylene and fibre-reinforced plastic. Light alloy or titanium are also required.
