The invention relates to a foaming shaving cream based on synthetic tensides suitable for dispensing from a tube or dosing dispenser, containing 15-30 weight percent water-soluble non-ionic tensides, 5-20 weight percent water-soluble anionic tensides, 1-10 weight percent water-soluble polyols with between 2 and 10 C atoms and between 2 and 7 hydroxyl groups, as well 40 or more weight percent water. The shaving cream is preferably free of fatty acid soaps. The anionic tenside is preferably a fatty alcohol polyglycol sulfate salt at a concentration of 10-20 weight percent.
