An antenna 20 for a radio telephone handset 20, intended for use with satellite communications, is fabricated within dimensional and aesthetic norms applicable to antennae for terrestrial application, by forming a flexible printed circuit board 62 64 into a truncated cylindrical support 24 whereon elements 26 28 and matching networks 30 32 are provided, the whole providing a helical multi-element antenna 20, within a radome 42. Variants are shown for non-helical antennae. |
