PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting body for a long-length photographic film having >=35mm width, comprising a polyester having ethylene-2,6-naphthalate units as repeating units. SOLUTION: This supporting body for a long-length photographic film with >=35mm width is a polyester film having repeating units of ethylene-2,6- naphthalate units or of ethylene-2,6-naphthalate units and ethylene terephthalate units. The supporting body satisfies the following conditions and has 25 to 45g loop stiffness. The conditions are (I) 180-T<=M<=130-T/3, (II) 85<=T<=110 and (III) M<=100, wherein M is the proportion (mol%) of ethylene-2,6-naphthalate units in the polyester and T is the film thickness (μm).
