In a powered hand tool, in particular a drilling machine or a percussion drill, the tool holder is to be designed to be removable from the spindle. Furthermore, the tool holder is to be easy to lock and unlock and without using further actuating elements. The powered hand tool according to the invention has a tool holder (10) for tools (7) with grooves (33). Engaging in these grooves (33) are locking balls (32) which can be moved into an unlocking position by means of an axially displaceable grip sleeve (27). The grip sleeve (27) at the same time serves to lock and unlock the locking bodies (18) for the mounting of the tool holder (10) on the spindle (3). To this end, the grip sleeve (27), by means of a ring (22) provided with recesses, can be moved rotatably into a position in which the locking bodies (18) escape radially. By means of a torsion spring (37), which at the same time acts as a compression spring, the grip sleeve (27) is held in its position locking both the tool (7) and the tool holder (10). ……
