PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocatalytic freshness-keeping apparatus capable of further improving the efficiency for removing a gas inhibiting the freshness- keeping effect. SOLUTION: This apparatus is provided with an ultraviolet radiation lamp 4, a photocatalyst irradiated with the light of the ultraviolet radiation lamp 4, a fan 14 to suck air from the outside of the apparatus, flow the air through a gap between the ultraviolet radiation lamp 4 and the photocatalyst and discharge the air passed through the gap to the outside of the apparatus, a lamp switch 76 to control the on and off of the ultraviolet lamp 4 and a fan switch 86 for controlling the operation of the fan 14. The action of the lamp switch 76 is linked with the action of the fan switch 86 and the blowing of air with the fan 14 is started a prescribed period after the lightening of the ultraviolet radiation lamp 4. |
