PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an oblong illumination pattern on the surface of an object to be imaged by guiding light from an oblong illumination source in a composite elliptic condencer. SOLUTION: An aperture lamp is used for a light source 12. The composite elliptic condencer 11 is provided with 1st and 2nd reflection faces 14, 16 which are circular arcs for individual ellipses. An ellipse forming the circular arc of the 1st reflection face 14 is provided with a focus arranged near to a junction part between the lateral direction tip of the light source 12 and the inlet end 38 of the 2nd reflection face 16. An ellipse forming the 2nd reflection face 16 is provided with a focus arranged near to a junction part between the 2nd lateral direction tip of the light source 12 and the inlet end 38 of the 1st reflection face 14. Each ellipse is provided with a 2nd focus coincident with the inlet end of the reflection face of the condencer 11 and arranged on the opposite position of the inlet end. |
