<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the musical instrument playing tool which can be held easier even by the aged or the handicapped who has lost the use of a hand or arm. SOLUTION: A mallet 1 is formed by joining a handle part 12 with one end of a rod part 10 and a ball part 14 with the other end. The handle part 12 is formed of a polyurethane-based shape memory polymer and can have its extension part 12b and 2nd extension part 12b bent or extended optionally when heated above glass dislocation temperature, have its current shape fixed by being cooled below the glass dislocation temperature, and be restored to the shape before the deformation optionally. Therefore, the tool can be deformed into a shape suitable for the aged or the handicapped to hold, adjusted finely many times to an easier-to-hold shape, and changed freely into a shape suitable for the hand of another person after some person uses it.</p> |
