PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus capable of withstanding long-term use by reducing the clogging of a filter. SOLUTION: An ink tank 1 is provided with a main ink chamber 11 and an intermediate chamber 16 and a second mesiscus forming member 17 is provided to the joint part 2 bonded to a printing head 3. A filter 22 is provided to the ink introducing part 4 connected to the ink tank 1 of the printing head 3. The opening diameter of the second meniscus forming member 17 is made almost same to that of the filter 22. By this constitution, the inflow of foreign matter into the filter 22 from the ink tank 1 is reduced to reduce the clogging of the filter 22 and, therefore, the use period of a recording apparatus can be extended. At this time, since the passage resistance from the filter 22 to a nozzle is high, air remaining in the connected part is guided to the intermediate chamber 16 within the ink tank 1 through the second meniscus forming member 17 and, therefore, an image quality defect by air bubbles in the printing head 3 is not increased. |
