PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an exhaust duct member which is easy to fit and enables attainment of reliable airtight closure by a method wherein the peripheral edge part of a through hole on the indoor side of a wall is covered with a fitting plate provided on the outer peripheral side of an exhaust duct and an area between the indoor-side surface of the wall and the fitting plate is closed up by an airtight material. SOLUTION: A hood main body 21 is fitted on the indoor-side surface of a wall 1 and an outdoor hood 3 is fitted to the peripheral edge part of a through hole 11 in the outdoor-side surface of the wall 1. Next, a duct main body 51 is inserted into the through hole 11 from the outdoor side and a fitting plate 6 is pressed on the indoor-side surface of the wall 1. Thereby the part of a door 53 in the fore end of the duct main body 51 is made to project into the outdoor hood 3 and connected therewith and, at the same time, the lower end of a connecting tube 52 comes into contact with an outlet 22 of a range hood 2, so that the connecting tube 52 and the outlet 22 be connected. After the duct main body 51 of a duct member 4 is inserted from the outdoor side into the through hole 11 provided in the wall 1 and the fitting plate 6 is pressed on the indoor-side surface of the wall l so that the duct member 4 be fitted, in this way, the indoor side and the outdoor side are cut off from each other by an airtight material 7 fitted on the indoor side of the fitting plate 6. |
