PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the contact sound or motor load by a cam mechanism which shakes a shaking mirror when a sub-scanning unit is returned to an original position at a high speed after printing is completed in a printer wherein laser beam is scanned in a main scanning direction by the shaking mirror and a photosensitive member is moved in a sub-scanning direction by a sub-scanning unit to scan laser beam in the sub-scanning direction. SOLUTION: This printer is constituted so that a restriction piece 25 is moved between a position where a shaking lever 7 having a shaking mirror 5 fixed thereto is shakable and a position where the shaking lever 7 is impossible to shake by the notch 18B of a sub-scanning unit 18 and the shaking pin 11 for shaking the shaking lever 8 is separated from the cam surface 15A of a cam 15. When the sub-scanning unit 18 returns to the original position after a print is formed, the restriction piece is moved to the position where the shaking lever 7 is shakable and the cam surface 15A of the face cam 15 and the shaking pin 11 are again brought to a contact state. |
