PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and compact chip feeder for feeding a variety of types of chip to a pickup head at high speed. SOLUTION: A bracket 11 moving up and down along a feed screw 18 is provided with first rants 13-16 in mutistage and a chip feed table 25 is held slidingly by the first rails 13-16. A chip feed stage S2 is provided with a third rail 30 which is moved horizontally by means of an X table 33 and a Y table 32. A second rail 17 is laid between the first rails 13-16 and the third rail 30. The bracket 11 is moved up and down and one rail 14 out of a plurality of first rails 13-16 holding the chip feed table 25 associated with a desired chip is brought to same level as the second rail 17. Subsequently, a moving table is driven to move the chip feed table 25 between the first, second and third rails 14, 17 and 30. |
