摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an electric charge generating layer contg. a uniformly distributed photoconductive pigment and capable of modification in accordance with required sensitivity by dispersing photoconductive hydroxy gallium phthalocyanine particles in a polymer substrate made of a specified reactional product. SOLUTION: The photoconductive hydroxy gallium phthalocyanine particles are dispersed in a polymer substrate made of a polymer film forming reactional product consisting essentially of vinyl chloride, vinyl acetate and hydroxyalkyl acrylate. The hydroxy gallium phthalocyanine particles are available in the form of various polymorphs and such polymobphs are usable for the electric charge generating layer of a photoreceptor. When the diameter of the photoconductive pigment particles used is about <0.6μm, a satisfactory result is produced and about <0.1μm diameter is optimum. The film forming reactional product is prepd. by the conventional emulsion or suspension polymn. method.
