. The device for audio compact discs comprises a container (30) for the disc, and a support having dimensions slightly greater than those of the container. There is a slim control and display panel attached to the outside of the container. The panel includes push buttons (34) for selection of a sequence of tracks, a memory (52) for holding graphical information referring to the tracks or sequences of tracks on the CD and circuits (44, 48), for controlling the output to a display (32). . The control arranges displays of text or graphics which are synchronised with the track or sequence of tracks being played by the CD player. An emitter (36) transmits electromagnetic signals to the CD player to control the manner in which the CD is played.
