Antenna switching device for hand held radio set

An antenna switching device has a case including one top end and one bottom end. A radio frequency module is installed in the top end of the case, and is used to receive or transmit radio signals. An antenna is installed on the case top end, and a socket is installed in the bottom end of the case. This is used to connect a external antenna. The antenna comprises a detecting device, installed in the case, which is provided to detect a connection between the socket and the external antenna, and generates a control signal when a connection is detected. An electronic switch installed in the top of the case,is used to electrically connect the radio frequency module to the handheld set antenna, or the socket, according to the control signal. When the control signal is generated, the electronic switch will electrically connect the radio frequency module to the socket in order to conduct the external antenna signal and the radio frequency module. When the control signal disappears, the electronic switch will electrically connect the radio frequency module to the handheld antenna.
