A slide changing device for use in slide projectors or viewers taking stacked slides comprises a reciprocal slide changer 22 having a ledge 35 whose leading edge (36, Fig.1 not shown) engages the lower trailing edge only of a slide 20 to be displayed whereby the slide is rocked in its own plane to facilitate disengagement from frictional contact with the next adjacent slide 38 in the stack. Plates 24, 25 have recesses which define a guide-way, an inclined surface 24c camming the slide upright again before entry into spring holding members 27, 28 at the display position. Nose 34 of changer 22 displaces the previously displayed slide into a retractable receiving drawer. The stacked slides are spring or gravity urged towards the changing position. |
