The table consists of a square or rectangular table-top (5) mounted on a connection piece (8) on top of a vertical square or rectangular support member this member may consist of two transparent outer covering layers (1) enclosing an opaque central layer (3) which may be marked with printed alphanumeric symbols etc. There are further V-shaped support elements (2). The tips of the V-shapes may be bolted to the centre of the vertical plate. There are fittings (6) at the ends of the V-shapes which may engage the underside of the table-top and may act as feet coming in contact with the floor.
