PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cationically curing printing ink composition reduced in misting during printing and having excellent suitability even for an overprinting varnish, by combining a cyclic ether compound with a rosin- modified resin. SOLUTION: This composition is prepared by combining at most 80wt.%, based on the composition, cyclic ether compound represented by formula I (wherein R1 to R4 are each H or an organic group; R5 is C or -O-C-; and n is an integer of 1 or greater) and 5-80wt.%, based on the composition, at least one compound selected from the group consisting of rosin-modified resins represented by formula II (wherein R1 is a residue of a resin acid of rosin; R2 is H, a mono- to hexa-valent alcohol residue; and m is 1-6), formula III (wherein R1 is a residue of a rosin alcohol being a product of reduction of rosin; R2 is H or a mono- to tetra-valent acid residue; n is 1-4; and 1 is 0-4) and formula IV (wherein R1 is a residue of a resin acid of rosin; R2 is H or a mono- to hexa-valent epoxy residue; and m is 1-6). |
