PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel water-base curable compsn. contg. no formaldehyde, a method for curing a polyacid therewith, and a method for bonding heat-resistant nonwoven glass fiber fabrics. SOLUTION: This compsn. contains a polyacid (e.g. a polymer acid) having at least two carboxylic, acid anhydride, or their salt groups, an active hydrogen compd. (e.g. hydroxylamine) having at least two active hydrogen groups selected from among hydroxyl, prim-amino, and sec-amino groups and their mixtures, and a fluoroborate accelerator in an equivalent ratio of the carboxylic, acid anhydride, or their salt groups to the active hydrogen group of (1/0.01) to about (1/3) under the condition that less than 35% of the carboxylic, acid anhydride, or their salt groups are neutralized with a nonvolatile base. |
