摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tip end coating material for a coated electrode capable of improving arc starting property and crack resistance in the weld and improving the wield yield at the time of manufacture even in the case of using the welding machine having low sensitive electric shock preventive device. SOLUTION: The tip end coating material for coated electrode is composed of a powder mixture and a binder. By wt., 10-40% graphite and 5-35% iron powder are contained and, by wt., 40-90% grain of <=44μm in grain size and 3-30% grain of >=74μm in grain size are contained in the powder mixture. Also, by wt., >=95% graphite grain of <=44μm in grain size to the whole weight of graphite is regulated to contain and, by wt., >=1% graphite grain of >=74μm in grain size to the whole weight of graphite is regulated to contain.
