PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a finish coating composition that can give a cured product having improved surface hardness and showing excellent weatherability and staining resistance owing to imparted hydrophilicity by mixing a coating synthetic resin having at least a hydroxyl group, a hydrolyzable silyl group and an epoxy group with an alkyl silicate or a partial hydrolyzate thereof and a curing catalyst. SOLUTION: This composition comprises 100 pts.wt. coating synthetic resin (A) having at least a hydroxyl group, a hydrolyzable silyl group and an epoxy group, 5-70 pts.wt. alkyl silicate represented by the formula (wherein R<1> is an alkyl; R<2> is an alkyl or an alkoxyl; and a is 0 or 1) or a partial hydrolyzate thereof (B) and 0.1-20 pts.wt., per 100 pts.wt. component B, curing catalyst (C). A cured product obtained from this composition is characterized in that the maximum silicon concentration in the part from the surface to a depth of 50nm is at least three times as high as the average silicon concentration of the part from a depth of 150nm to a depth of 300nm. |
