PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the deterioration of clamping preventive effect of ion exchange resin with the lapse of time by making a linear polymer electrolytic substance having at least 50,000 molecular weight adhere to the surface of the ion exchange resin. SOLUTION: In the case ion exchange resin to be used for a mixed bed type desalination apparatus is new, clamping phenomenon that cation exchange resin and anion exchange resin are aggregated is induced and for that, linear polymer electrolytic substance of 50,000 or higher molecular weight is stuck to the surface of the ion exchange resin in order to prevent the phenomenon. At that time, as the linear polymer electrolytic substance, polystyrenesulfonic acid, which is anionic linear polymer electrolytic substance, is used.
