摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To not only enlarge the diameter of a diamond abrasive grains stuck to a negative electrode by electrophoresis to a mush larger size than those of the existing ones and to thicken the thickness thereof by a large margin but also to satisfactory abrase an abrased object made of a conductive material and cause to become a negative electrode, with regard to an abrasive material and a method applied to electrophoresis abrasion using an electrophoresis phenomenon. SOLUTION: An abrasive material for electrophoresis abrasion is made by mixing diamond abrasive grains 23 and aluminum oxide particulates 25 with water. An electrophoresis abrasion method is to abrase an abrased object with an abrasing tool 29 stuck with diamond abrasive grains 23 as well as aluminum oxide particulates 25 by dipping the abrasing tool 29, which is caused to become a negative electrode, and a positive electrode 27 into an abrasive material for electrophoresis abrasion and impressing voltage to the abrasing tool 29 and the positive electrode 27, sticking diamond abrasive grain 23 as well as aluminum oxide particulates on the abrasive fool 29.
