PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time required for measurement of a smear and blooming. SOLUTION: A charge read-out is stopped in a period for one field for constituting one frame and image lines of the field with an electronic shutter in an ON state are extracted and the quantity of a first signal in a vertical blanking period is measured to measure the smear quantity. Then, a charge read-out is stopped in a period for the other field and image lines of the field with the electronic shutter in an OFF state are extracted and the quantity of a second signal in a vertical blanking period due to the overflow of a charge generated in a sensor is measured to measure an apparent quantity of blooming. By subtracting the quantity of the smear from the apparent quantity of blooming, a pure quantity of blooming can be obtained. |
