PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the liquid crystal element which has neither an orientation defect nor uneven threshold characteristics due to an injection defect of liquid crystal and unevenness of a cell gap by preventing the injection defect and unevenness of the cell gap in a process for charging liquid crystal in a liquid crystal cell. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal cell 1 is provided with a 1st opening part 3 and a 2nd opening part 4, and the pressure P3 of the 1st opening part 3, the pressure P2 of the 2nd opening part 4, and the pressure P3 of a display area are so controlled individually that P1 >P2 and P1 -P3 <=0.5kgf/cm<2> ; and liquid crystal 10 is injected into the cell 1 from the 1st opening part 3 by utilizing the pressure difference between the 1st opening part 3 and 2nd opening part 4 and liquid crystal contaminated with impurities is made to flow out of the 2nd opening part 4. Then the cell gap due to the pressure difference in the cell 1 is eliminated by setting the pressure so that 0<P1 -P3 <=0.5kgf/cm<2> . |
