PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce setup time and costs by performing a diagnostic test by comparing data outputted to an SCSI controller with data received from the SCSI controller by a host computer. SOLUTION: SCSI control data and SCSI test data are outputted from a host computer 30 to an SCSI controller 40. Then, the SCSI controller 40 temporarily stores the received SCSI control data and SCSI test data and outputs the SCSI control data and SCSI test data to the host computer 30 later. Therefore, the host computer 30 executes the diagnostic test of SCSI controller 40 by comparing the data outputted to the SCSI controller 40 with the data received from the SCSI controller 40. Thus, all the functions of SCSI can be tested by various programs. |
