PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power module stack for a 3-level inverter which makes it unnecessary to take into consideration the switching functional elements of high withstand voltage characteristics or the absorbing function of a high surge voltage and also makes it unlikely to cause an excessive surge voltage to occur even if the switching functional elements are turned off. SOLUTION: In a 3-level inverter, a first switching functional element 1, a first diode 5, a second switching functional element 2 and a fourth switching functional element 4, a second diode 6, a third switching functional element 3 are provided at each position on both sides of a cooling fin base 10 with its back opposing each other and each connecting terminal is connected in sequence. Each connecting part is connected with a connecting plate formed with an insulating plate sandwiched in such a way that the connecting plates surrounding the fin base 10 forms a channel shape as a whole. In this structure, various constitutions including the connection with a connecting plate formed in a channel shape are conceivable in mounting capacitors. |
