POWER SUPPLY CONTROL SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize an extension function to a maximum without caring of instable operation caused by power lack or the limit of configuration by always monitoring all the current consumption consumed for an information processor through a current consumption monitor and control circuit and displaying required power supply capacity on a power supply capacity monitor panel. SOLUTION: A current consumption monitor and control circuit 5 always monitors all the current consumption at an information processor 1 and terminal equipment 11 and displays a current consumption value corresponding to a power supply specification on a power supply capacity monitor panel 6. When system configuration is considerably extended at once and large capacity is required as a power source at the information processor 1, the current consumption monitor and control circuit 5 temporarily stops power supply to be sent to an extension device 2 and an extension board 3 and further, the current consumption monitor and control circuit 5 outputs an extension power source request signal 7 to the power supply capacity monitor panel 6. The power supply capacity monitor panel 6 receives the extension power source request signal 7, and the number of extension power units 8 required for extension is displayed on the power supply capacity monitor panel 6 and reported by a buzzer tone.
