<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable computer docking device having burglary preventing environments respectively suitable for 'single user mode' and 'multi- user mode'. SOLUTION: First and second Kensington slots 11, 12 are fitted to the outer wall of a body, and when a Kensington lock is attached to the 1st Kensington slot 11, the unlocking of a mounted portable computer is inhibited, its detachment is disabled and the insertion/ejection of a PC card into/from the docking device is held at a regulated state. On the other hand, the attachment of the Kensington lock to the 2nd slot 12 is not transmitted, so that the mounted portable computer can be optionally detached and the regulation of insertion/ ejection of the PC card into/from the docking device can be optionally released.</p> |
