PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the light coupling efficiency between a light source and a light guide plate. SOLUTION: A light emitting chip 23 such as a light emitting diode(LED), etc., is sealed into a transparent sealing resin 26 to form a light emitting element 22 in this device 11. In a light emitting part 20, wherein the light emitting element 22 is integrally formed embeddedly into a sheathing member 21 composed of a white resin, only a face on a side opposite to the light guide plate 12 of the light emitting element 22 is exposed from the sheathing member 21. Light emitted from the light emitting element 22 is sealed into the transparent sealing resin 26 to be outgoing from only a front surface and is efficiently coupled onto the light guide plate 12. |
